Educating through local music
According to the artist, the project is titled ‘Playlist’ because of the different sounds it possesses, and the exact release date will be announced on his social media platforms.
According to Kotto, the project carries a lot of motivation, mainly for underrated musicians and music lovers in general. “In this new project, I shared a lot of my experiences and challenges. I also tried my best to make it relatable and as sound-friendly as possible. With this, I intend to spread awareness on how to survive as an undergraduate on the streets. I also share what I’ve learned from relationships and how to cope with one.”
Kotto says he noticed that many foreign artists are booked for gigs in Namibia. “This is despite the fact that we have so much locally grown talent in our country. There is also a definite lack of investors in the industry.”
The artist is also working on a joint project with Bearded Wolf, a local rapper from Walvis Bay. “This project will only be released later this year. Keep an eye on social media for more information about this development.”
He also expressed his gratitude towards his fanbase for the endless support they have shown him. “I cannot express my appreciation enough. I am thankful to everyone that has been watching and supporting me on my journey. In this life, you get what you give, so give by showing love and it will be reciprocated in the long run.”
