Four dead in head-on collision

Four people were killed in a head-on-collision near Karibib on Monday evening.

An incident report issued by the Erongo police on Tuesday stated that the accident happened 10km from Karibib towards Usakos. It is alleged that the driver of a white double cab Toyota was traveling from Karibib in the direction of Usakos when he collided with a Polo Vivo which was traveling from Usakos towards Karibib. The driver of the Polo Vivio, Festus Chris and three passengers Ihuhwa Asaf Kamilo (37), Sheekuli Andreas, and Johanna Hamutenya died on the scene. All were residents of Karibib.

The next of kin of the deceased were informed.

The two occupants of the bakkie sustained injuries.
