Tunacor renames vessel

19 November 2018 | Fishing

The Katuka, one of Tunacor Group Ltd Walvis Bay's vessels, has been renamed the Tatekulu Andimba Toivo ya Toivo. Former president Hifikepunye Pohamba commended Tunacor for bestowing this honour upon a Namibian icon. “It is truly a befitting gesture for a man who made personal sacrifices so that the Namibian people can enjoy the individual rights and freedoms as enshrined in the Namibian constitution. His life will be celebrated and his legacy will be remembered for many more generations to come.” Toiva ya Toiva was Tunacor’s chairman from 2006 until his death in 2017. Photos Leandrea Louw
