Pro-Ed pronk met puik presteerders

Dentie Louw - Pro-Ed Akademie op Swakopmund het onlangs sy jaarlikse sport- en kultuurprysuitdeling gehou.

Wiaan Louw is aangewys as die kultuurpersoonlikheid van die jaar en Jessica Strydom as die kultuurster. Strydom het verlede jaar die land verteenwoordig by die Wereldkampioenskap vir Uitvoerende Kunste in Los Angeles, Hollywood. Sy is weer op pad Hollywood toe vanjaar en hoop om goue medaljes huis toe te bring.

Juffrou Riette Burger is aangewys as kultuurondersteuner van die jaar.

Vonné Janse van Rensburg en Karli White het pryse ontvang vir die beste junior toesprake in Engels.

Die beste karatekas was Roshmeer Tities (junior seun), Nicola Groenewald (junior dogter) en Rene Gilomee (senior dogter). Mayvonne Swart is as die algehele topkarateka aangewys.

Die onderwysers het ook pryse ontvang vir hul deelname aan sport. Jurie Engelbrecht het ‘n prys ontvang vir jukskei, Herman van Zyl vir karate, Andrea Brand vir vrouekrieket en Dentie Louw vir swem.

Dannielle Mostert is aangewys as die skool se swemster. Jorinda Fourie het pryse ontvang vir atletiek en netbal, en is ook aangewys as die junior sportvrou.

Chrislene Klein-Nienaber het ‘n prys ontvang vir haar prestasies in atletiek en Jack Brossel is aangewys as die junior krieketspeler van die jaar.

Adri van der Merwe was die meisiekrieketspeler van die jaar en Kyla Lacock die senior netbalspeler van die jaar. Juan Theron en Zachary de Klerk is aangewys as die junior seunshokkiespelers van die jaar. Die beste junior meisiehokkiespeler van die jaar was Natalie Suardi. Giovanni Suardi was die senior seunshokkiespeler van die jaar. Mikayla Bosman is aangewys as die senior meisiehokkiespeler van die jaar.

Nicholas van der Colf is die junior rugbyseun, asook junior sportman van die jaar. Godwin Silvanus is aangewys as die senior rugbyspeler van die jaar.

Die beste junior span van die jaar was die o.13-netbalspan onder leiding van juffrou Florinda Fourie. Die beste senior span van die jaar was die eerste rugbyspan onder leiding van meneer Wikus Grobler.

Die beste skaakspeler van die jaar was Jonathan Platt.

Roché Venter en Joshua Theron is onderskeidelik as die senior sportvrou en sportman van die jaar aangewys.

Mayvonne Swart was die sportster van die jaar na aanleiding van haar prestasies in karate.
