Mr and Miss Teen Swakopmund crowned

Thirteen girls and four boys competed for titles in a local pageant.

Renella Mathews was crowned Miss Teen Swakopmund and Highsty Sagarias Mr Teen Swakopmund last week.

This was the second annual pageant hosted by the Swakopmund Youth Organization. The winners walked away with prizes to the value of N$3 500 from various sponsors. Miss Teen Swakopmund also won automatic entry for Miss Republic Namibia.

Thirteen girls and four boys strutted their stuff on the runway in swim, casual and evening wear.

Mr and Miss Public’s Choice were Matheus Itewa and Carol-May Delie. The Miss Congeniality title went to Miah Abrahams and that of Mr Congeniality to Highsty Sagarias.

Johnson Johannes and Shakira Isaacks were the first prince and princess respectively, with Nathan de Klerk and Miah Abraham named second prince and princess.

The masters of ceremonies were Xuro Milton and Leonard Witbeen, with OC Ebs making an appearance as well. Witbeen and Namibia Annual Music Awards winner Michael Pulse performed their latest single titled “I made it”.

Miss Swakopmund Municipality, Nancy Garoes; Miss Elite Namibia, Babitjie Rollinia Franz; and Miss Coast, Mariam Uyams, were on the judges’ panel.
