The annual bicycle route hosted by the Uniting Reformed Church of Narraville, served loads of fun and excitement, accompanied by some knee scrapes and sore muscles. This was the 3rd annual bike ride in and around Narraville. Both young and old participated. About 28 riders participated in the 65 km harsh desert crunch ride, 21 participated in the 20 km intermediate ride, and 18 riders participated in the kiddies and beginners fun ride.
Danny Beukes, organiser, said more riders participated this year than last year when east wind conditions prevailed during the event.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves, but I’ll be bringing a few changes to the event, such as not having the 65 km route through the dunes, and making the 10 km ride later the day, so that parents who participated in the 65 km are able to enjoy the 10 km ride with their children.”
He also wished to thank all the motorists for their patience, residents who kept their dogs in their yards, and all volunteers who made the day a huge success.
