Tien deelnemers ding mee in die eerste Little Miss Walvis Bay-skoonheidskompetisie. Hierdie kompetisie is die geesteskind van Estrolita Petersen, Mev. Namibia Globe en Mev. Universal. Die meisies het die kinderafdeling van die Walvisbaai-staatshospitaal besoek en muffins, lekkerpakkies en boeke aan die kinders in die saal uitgedeel. Petersen het gesê: “Die idee is hulle moet leer dat skoonheid van binne af kom en nie van buite nie.” Hul tweede aktiwiteit is 'n ma- en dogterdag, gevolg deur 'n werks­winkel ter voorbereiding van die kompetisie wat op 30 November aangebied word.
