'Kinderfees' a huge hit

13 May 2019 | Education

The first ever Kinderfees (Children's Festival) saw local and international acts taking to the stage at Jan Wilken Stadium. Je-Ane Swiegelaar and Germandt Geldenhuys, better known as Naomi Ferreira and Louis Koster from the popular kykNET soapy Binnelanders, as well as the mascots Lollos en Lettie entertained the kids. The festival was hosted to give children and their parents an opportunity to have fun and at the same time generate much needed funds for various institutions such Stepping Stone Special School, the SPCA and Promise Land Trust. The organisers are looking at the possibility of hosting a similar event again next year. Photos Karl Philander
