The International School of Walvis Bay (ISWB) was a hive of activity last week, when the school hosted an International Day along with its ten year birthday celebrations.

The festivities commenced with a cake day, with learners from each grade being required to bake a cake. The Year 2 learners won the prize for the best tasting cake while the Year 11s received the prize for the best cake design.

During the International Day event, the Walvis Bay community had the opportunity to taste international cuisine on offer at various stalls. Each grade depicted a different country ranging from the United States of America, Mexico, Germany, England and South Africa, to India, Greece, Namibia, Italy, Portugal and Brazil.

The Dunes walked away as the winners of the volleyball tournament, ahead of the ISWB's Vatos Locos and the Brazilian Navy in third position.

The highlight of the day was when Katja Dreyer won the N$10 000 cash prize, which formed part of the Plant a Flag Raffle Draw.
