Böttcher is a qualified transport engineer with experience in construction, economics, and European studies with a focus on the legal framework of the European Union. He is also a former lecturer at the University of France and brings with him a new dimension to the group's workforce.
Having previously consulted at the Road Fund Administration (RFA), he is no stranger to the Namibian logistics industry.
“This position allows me to further my expertise, but still within the same industry. This company has a very good interim function between all the different stakeholders and its Public Private Partnership status makes WBCG very interesting to work at."
He further said that the challenge lies with exploring funding opportunities within a very short amount of time.
“If you couple it with a lot of hard work then it can be nothing short of successful. Make up your mind and do it.”
He added that discussing and communicating ideas is a very good thing to do, but it shouldn't remain there.
“It should escalate to operational and implementation stages so that you can see how to better your ideas”.
