Individuals and companies are invited to enter one or more teams for the Round Table 36 annual fundraiser.

All funds raised will go towards the Round Table 36 Kids Vision Fund.

“This is an excellent team building opportunity and to help those in need at the same time. Entries will be limited to 24 teams and are handled on a first come first serve basis. It should be submitted no later than 27 June,” said Steven Peake, the chairman of the organisation.

The entry fee for the 3-Ball Full American Scramble Drive format competition amounts to N$1 800 per team.

Peak added that companies can also sponsor and brand one of the 18 tee boxes or one of the 9 greens, at N$500 per sponsorship.

Round Table is a non-political, non-racial association of young men between the ages of 18 and 40. The charity organisation embraces representatives of nearly every profession and occupation. Its objectives include encouraging high ethical standards, promoting social interaction and fellowship among young professional and businessmen, and the quickening of individual interest in issues affecting the welfare of members of the public.

The organisation is renowned for its Winter Knights project aimed at raising funds for marginalised communities all over Namibia. The main aim is to raise cash donations in order to buy blankets for these communities. Any other donations in the form of old clothing, blankets and non-perishable food are also distributed to these beneficiaries.

Walvis Bay Round Table 36 support various other charities in kind.
