Ms Universal Namibia crowned

Swakopmund beauty, Adri Janse van Rensburg (28) was recently crowned as Miss Namibia Universal. She was crowned by the reigning Mrs Universal 2016 Estrolita Peterson. Both ladies will be travelling to London, UK, where Adri will represent Namibia in the Miss Universal pageant and Estrolita will be crowning the next Mrs Universal 2017.

“When I saw the application process was open earlier this year, I decided to take a chance. It has always been a childhood dream of mine, and now it has finally come true. It is truly a great honour to be representing my country on this platform.”

Mother of two boys, Van Rensburg is no stranger to the catwalk or the camera, as she has modelled in fashions shows before, and modelled for magazines and photographers.

She has also been involved in various personal charity projects in Swakopmund as well as Walvis Bay.

Aside from her excitement to be representing her country, and starting her journey as Ms Namibia Universal she now has the daunting task to acquire sponsors to help her realize her dream.

He registration fee is U$2000, her flight is N$16 000, her meals amounts to N$10 000, clothing attire is U$250, hair and make-up U$250 and her accessories amounts to U$200.

Her registration fee includes, her accommodation in London, a lunch cruise on the Thames River, gala dinner and afternoon tea, pageant training, seminars and choreography, a London city tour, Nottingham Castle Tour, a 15 minute spa treatment, DCFC Soccer Stadium Tour, all transportation in and around London, official ruby and Swarovski crystal earrings, a half page advertisement space in the official pageant magazine and all official photographs.

The pageant will be taking place from 3- 9 September.
